Description
We鈥檙e looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys hands-on manufacturing. In this role, you鈥檒l work with fiberglass components to grind, sand, clean, and polish parts in preparation for finishing. You鈥檒l also measure, mark, and drill components with precision, inspect your work to ensure it meets quality standards, and safely use hand and power tools to support the production process.
Key Responsibilities
路 聽Cut fiberglass boats and components after removal from molds
路 聽Grind and sand bonding surfaces to smooth cut edges and prepare parts for assembly
路 聽Trim flanges and cut out hatches
路 聽Level, fit, and prepare bulkheads for installation
路 聽Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the production process
Qualifications
路 聽High school diploma or GED preferred
路 聽Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools (including tape measures)
路 聽Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy environment with fiberglass dust
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this role, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
Physical Requirements
路 聽Proper use of required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dust masks, and respirators
路 聽Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
路 聽Frequent lifting and moving of up to 15 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
路 聽Ability to work carefully, efficiently, and safely in potentially hazardous conditions
