Interpret and fill prescriptions provided by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients. Strong understanding of optical principles, lens designs, and eyewear troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with patients and team members in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a Licensed Optician is preferred. Stand for long periods of time. Physical Environment The ability to manage merchandise throughout the store that weighs up to 50 lbs. Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
