Janitor

Overview

Poly-America, L.P., a leading plastics manufacturer, is currently seeking a Janitor to join our team at our Pol Tex, Mont Belvieu, Texas location.

Responsibilities

Duties include the following with the possibility of additional duties being assigned as needed:

• Vacuuming carpet, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, cleaning walls and windows, emptying trash and recycling containers, replenishing restroom and break room supplies

• Manually clean and use light commercial cleaning equipment

• Execute cleaning in accordance with company cleaning processes and procedures

• Must be comfortable wearing PPE.
• Observe safety and security procedures

• Report unsafe conditions to Management

• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly preferred
• Experience with residential or commercial cleaning tasks including floor care and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to work on either a day shift or overnight shift schedule. 
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, non-temperature controlled
