Summary/objective
This position is critical in our practice as the individual in this role is responsible for greeting and intaking patients at the front desk. This position requires use of the ATHENA Electronic Medical Records System to perform the following functions.

- Greets & receives patients, vendor representatives, and other visitors
- Performs eligibility checks for upcoming patient appointments
- Prepares chart paperwork for next day
- Registers and checks in patients
- Updating demographic and insurance informationÂ
- Collecting financial / insurance informationÂ
- Recording preferred pharmacy / lab locationsÂ
- Recording primary care / referring physicians
- Collecting co-payments and balances due
- Scheduling appointmentsÂ

Work environment and schedule
- This position is full time, Monday through Friday.
 Physical demands
 Sitting up to 8 hours per day
Travel required
Must be able to travel between both locations if needed
Required education and experience
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- High School Diploma or GEDÂ
- Minimum of one year reception experience
- Must have strong attention to detailÂ
- Must be comfortable collecting and handling money (payments)Â
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionallyÂ
- Work well with patients, physicians, management, and staffÂ
- Have ability to function successfully under stressful conditionsÂ
- Have excellent data entry skillsÂ
Preferred education and experience
- Medical or hospitality reception experience preferred
- Experience with medical insurance preferredÂ

Pay Range $21.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience.
