Responsibilities

This is a full-time, 12-month Adult Health Nursing faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate/Prelicensure Program. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service, and scholarship components of the faculty role based on rank. This is not a remote position.

The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge and insights gained from the exploration of his/her area of specialization.
  • Ability to communicate to professional peers.
  • Ability to perform successfully the professional duties assigned.
  • Ability to engage in scholarship and research.
  • Ability to demonstrate academic growth.

Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Adult Health Nursing are encouraged to apply. Acute care or critical care is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in nursing at the time employment begins.
  • Must have current clinical skills.
  • Candidates must hold an unencumbered Alabama RN license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire.
  • Teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program and certified in clinical specialty.
