Alfa Insurance is seeking a driven Business System Specialist to help shape, support, and enhance our Guidewire Policy & Billing systems while partnering closely with teams across the organization. Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of business requirements.
- Support the production Guidewire Policy & Billing applications.
- Participate in testing tasks.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor working with teammates and those outside the department
- Maintain a working knowledge of all policy forms, endorsements, exclusions, and underwriting rules and procedures for all lines of business within the policy administration system.Ā
- Maintain a professional and courteous working relationship with the underwriting department, agency force, and home office personnel. Maintains an acceptable attendance record as outlined in the P & C Underwriting Attendance PolicyĀ
QualificationsĀ
- College Degree Required.
- 2 years Insurance experience specifically in underwriting, billing or claims departments.
- INS Designation is an advantage.
- International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification is an advantage.
- Business Process Management Certifications are an advantage.
- Aptitude for providing technical solutions.
- Training/certification in Agile & Waterfall development methodologies is preferred.
- Strong background in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
- Guidewire software experience preferred.
