The Retreat Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team.

If you are looking for an opportunity to continue using your nursing skills while working a part-time schedule, The Retreat offers the opportunity to provide hands-on care in a smaller, resident-centered environment where nurses truly get to know the people they care for.

What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse at The Retreat, you will provide and oversee nursing care to ensure our residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight during assigned shifts

  • Assess residents and monitor for changes in condition

  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and established standards of practice

  • Perform ordered treatments and skilled nursing procedures, including wound care, dressing changes, skin treatments, and other treatments within the RN scope of practice

  • Assess and monitor wounds, skin conditions, and treatment outcomes, documenting progress and reporting changes or concerns to the appropriate provider

  • Ensure treatments are completed accurately and timely and appropriately documented in the resident's medical record

  • Follow physician/provider orders and established treatment protocols, including infection prevention and appropriate technique

  • Notify physicians and other providers of significant changes in resident condition and implement new orders as appropriate

  • Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation

  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident assessments

  • Implement and monitor individualized resident care plans

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, providers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team

  • Provide clinical direction and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned nursing staff in accordance with applicable scope-of-practice requirements

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition

  • Support infection prevention, medication management, fall prevention, skin integrity, and other resident safety and quality initiatives

  • Ensure resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality are maintained

  • Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required

  • Experience with wound care, skin assessment, and skilled nursing treatments preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

  • Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize resident needs and respond appropriately to changes in condition

  • Dependability and a commitment to teamwork

  • A genuine desire to provide compassionate, resident-centered care
