Compensation Considerations:

This position is seated in NJ responsible for error corrections and equipment maintenance, repair and use of equipment. Performs preventative maintenance of equipment, assists counterparts in other regions as needed. Generates reports in QMS, Performs all assigned duties in compliance with SOPs. Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work independently.

What to Expect 

Salary: $22.89 to $29.63 hourly

Salary is commensurate with a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8-4:30 pm

As an Equipment Specialist, you’ll get to:  

Support Vitalant’s life-saving mission by being responsible for all processes related to production equipment. In this role, you will ensure equipment is properly maintained, monitored, and serviced to support safe and efficient operations. You will troubleshoot issues, coordinate repairs, manage equipment records, and partner with internal teams to maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Your work helps ensure the reliable production of blood products that support patients and communities every day.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge or Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required 

  • One year of experience in a blood center environment required.

  • One year of experience performing automated procedures preferred.

Skills/Abilities

  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

    Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

    Must be able to understand, follow, and give precise written and verbal instructions, and perform all activities safely.

    Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.

    Must have proficient computer skills.

    Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

    Effective oral and written communication skills.
