The Part-Time Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout Lighthouse Immersive Studios’ Moreno Valley venue. This position performs routine facility cleaning, sanitation, and day-to-day janitorial upkeep across guest-facing areas, restrooms, offices, employee spaces, and other assigned areas while supporting the cleanliness and presentation of the venue throughout the operating day.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a public-facing entertainment environment.
This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 paid hours per week, consisting of three shifts per week. Typical shift hours are approximately 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid meal period. Weekend and holiday availability is required, subject to venue operating hours and scheduling needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall appearance of the venue throughout the operating day.
• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, sanitizing, and spot cleaning floors and surfaces.
• Conduct a pre-opening walkthrough and complete assigned cleaning tasks to ensure the venue is guest-ready prior to opening.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, mirrors, fixtures, partitions, and floors.
• Monitor restrooms throughout the operating day and replenish soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other supplies as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout guest-facing, employee, office, and back-of-house areas and replace liners as necessary.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, railings, counters, tables, fixtures, and other frequently used areas.
• Clean interior windows, glass doors, mirrors, display surfaces, countertops, tables, breakroom surfaces, sinks, and other common-area surfaces as assigned.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, ledges, equipment surfaces, baseboards, and other areas as needed.
• Continuously monitor guest-facing areas and promptly address spills, debris, trash, fingerprints, and other housekeeping needs.
• Respond promptly to spills and cleaning situations that could create a safety concern or negatively affect the guest experience.
• Maintain entrances, hallways, public spaces, employee areas, offices, and other assigned areas throughout the shift.
• Complete routine and rotating cleaning assignments in addition to daily upkeep responsibilities.
• Provide cleaning support during special events, high-attendance periods, and other venue activities as assigned.
• Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and established workplace procedures.
• Maintain janitorial closets, cleaning carts, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Monitor janitorial and restroom supply levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, leaks, damaged fixtures, clogged drains or toilets, safety hazards, and other facility issues to management.
• Complete a daily cleaning and facility condition log documenting completed work, supply needs, maintenance concerns, safety issues, problem areas, incomplete tasks, and items requiring follow-up.
• Communicate recurring cleaning concerns and areas requiring additional attention to management and the next scheduled Facility Cleaner.
• Follow all venue safety, sanitation, accessibility, emergency, and operational procedures and perform other cleaning or facility-support duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Minimum of one year of professional cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or facility-cleaning experience required.
• Experience in a commercial, hospitality, retail, entertainment, attraction, office, or other public-facing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of general cleaning practices, sanitation procedures, cleaning chemicals, and janitorial equipment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning products and follow product-use instructions, safety procedures, and established cleaning protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to complete assigned responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Ability to independently prioritize cleaning needs and respond efficiently to spills, restroom needs, and other time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance, safety, supply, and facility concerns and accurately complete daily cleaning and facility condition logs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and other members of the venue team while working in guest-facing environments.
• Availability to work 24 paid hours per week, including weekends and holidays as required based on venue operating hours and business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning motions.
• Ability to safely lift and carry cleaning supplies, trash bags, equipment, and other materials weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
• Ability to push and maneuver cleaning carts and operate vacuums, mops, brooms, and other standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work around cleaning products and chemicals while following appropriate safety precautions and to perform duties throughout guest-facing, administrative, and back-of-house areas.
SCHEDULE
• Part-time position scheduled for 24 paid hours per week, consisting of three shifts per week.
• Typical shift hours are approximately 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid meal period and applicable paid rest periods in accordance with company policy and applicable California law.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required and is part of the regular scheduling model, subject to venue operating hours and scheduling needs.
• Specific workdays may vary based on the venue’s six-day operating schedule, holidays, special events, and business needs.
• Scheduled shift times may be adjusted based on changes in venue operating hours or other operational needs.

• Hourly pay rate of $17.00 per hour.
