Responsible for performing a variety of duties involving assisting with planning, organizing, and coordinating patient appointment scheduling for various hospital ancillary departments. Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to optimize operational service. Promotes Scheduling department goals by motivating and training team members.


Principal Accountabilities:


1. Supervises daily operations, workload distribution and prioritization of tasks.
2. Coordinates, schedules, and communicates all surgical procedures in advance to appropriate parties.
3. Drives key staffing decisions associated with development, engagement, and performance accountability plans.
4. Responsible for direct, front-line communication with staff to receive and provide direct feedback regarding quality and productivity.
5. Initiates patient contact through scheduling team.
6. Resolves technical and operational problems within provided guidelines.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Required:
1. Associate's Degree.
2. 4-6 years of relevant experience in a Central Scheduling office, physician office or relevant area.
3. 1-2 years of management/leadership experience.
