The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage wiring, fire alarm equipment, and system troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Â
Installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, electrical schematics, and system layouts.
- Install fire alarm control panels, pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, notification devices, and associated equipment.
- Mount and secure system components according to design specifications and safety requirements.
Wiring & System Setup
- Run, terminate, connect, and test low-voltage cabling and backup power systems.
- Ensure proper installation and labeling of wiring and devices.
Programming & Testing
- Program fire alarm control panels and system components.
- Conduct system testing, inspections, and commissioning to verify functionality and code compliance.
- Identify and resolve installation or programming issues before project completion.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair faulty devices, wiring, and system components.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service work.
- Replace defective equipment and ensure systems remain fully operational.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA standards, local building codes, and customer requirements.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices at all times.
Documentation
- Complete inspection reports, service records, work orders, and project documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and system testing results.
Customer Support
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation, maintenance requirements, and service recommendations.
- Provide basic end-user training on alarm system functionality and emergency procedures.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in the field
- 2 plus years Installing Fire Alarms
- Commissioning, programming and start up experience
- NICET certified a plus
- Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and solve problems independently
- Attention to detail that ensures every task meets quality and safety expectations
- Eagerness to develop technical expertise and grow within a dynamic services environment
