POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage full cycle recruiting and onboarding for corporate, lab and retail locations for union and non-union positions for SVS Vision. Ensure an efficient and positive candidate experience. Identify and source candidates for current openings and future growth. Manage external recruiting resources. Coordinate interviews. Develop employment marketing collateral and coordinate social recruiting efforts. Direct teammate onboarding process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SOURCE & ENGAGE CANDIDATES & BUILD TALENT PIPELINE

• Collaborate with hiring managers to develop recruitment plan to attract talent

• Proactively develop talent pipelines to address current business trends and future growth

• Identify and locate candidates through innovative search methods

• Develop creative and engaging hiring campaigns, including job postings, outreach material, and social media

• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through on-going relationship and contact information management

• Promote and manage external and campus position postings

• Gather, analyze, and present competitive data and recommendations for best-in-class employment practices

• Stay current with optical industry trends

• Assess external recruiting resources. Recommend and manage partnerships

STRATEGIC PROCESS

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices, including Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) when applicable

• Utilize competitive intelligence, industry trends, and labor market data to create and execute search strategies

• Act as liaison between candidates, hiring managers and HR business partners to provide guidance through the interview, offer and hiring process

• Provide direction to field team on recruiting and onboarding processes to ensure consistency

• Conduct post hire surveys and make retention recommendations


RECRUITING REPORTING TO LEADERSHIP TEAM

• Open requisitions

• Open positions, Corporate and Optical Lab status

• General Manager openings status

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience

• 2-5 years recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate setting or retail health industry

• Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) preferred

• Previous Applicant Tracking System experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Able to work independently

• Able to work at all levels of the organization

• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Broad based HR exposure desired

• Knowledge of employment law desired

• Solid internet search experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication

• Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time

• Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)

• Able to read and write at a high school graduate level

• Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds

• Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines

• Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
