This job posting is for a Recovery Support Specialist at TPC Wellness, a residential recovery and substance use treatment organization.


Role Summary

The Recovery Support Specialist helps maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals in recovery. The position combines resident supervision, documentation, transportation, admissions/discharges support, behavioral coaching, and compliance monitoring.


Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor resident safety, security, and accountability.
  • Build positive relationships with residents.
  • Complete resident counts and facility checks.
  • Write incident reports, shift reports, and daily logs.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident orientation.
  • Conduct investigations and communicate findings.
  • Collect urine drug screens.
  • Perform facility, property, and personal searches.
  • Monitor medication distribution.
  • Process resident mail, requests, and property.
  • Transport residents to appointments, work sites, and court appearances.
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and address behavioral concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, debriefings, and training.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Active CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.  TPC Wellness will provide assistance.
  • Ability to apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and recovery-focused program practices.
