Role Summary
The Safety Coordinator provides dedicated onsite safety support for a large data center project. Lee expects multiple hires as manpower increases, with approximately one coordinator required per 35 field employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily construction activities for safe practices.
- Support OSHA compliance.
- Conduct jobsite safety observations.
- Assist with JHAs/STAs and daily permits.
- Support accident and incident investigations.
- Monitor fall protection, excavation and trenching activities.
- Reinforce electrical safety and LOTO procedures.
- Monitor PPE requirements.
- Conduct or support safety meetings.
- Complete safety reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Safety Director, PMs and field supervision.
- Use Lee/Procore processes for project documentation as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years relevant occupational/construction safety experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Strong written documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field employees and leadership.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work full-time in an active construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30.
- CPR/First Aid/AED.
- Procore exposure.
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
- Electrical/mechanical construction safety background.
- Experience with excavation, fall protection, aerial lifts and LOTO.
