Join onsemi at the Mountain Top, PA facility as a Staff Industrial Engineer, where you will lead efforts to optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes, improve operational efficiency, and develop innovative production solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in building user applications, with experience in tools such as SQL, PHP, Python, and ASP.NET. Ideal candidates will combine engineering knowledge with software development skills to drive continuous improvement and support advanced manufacturing operations
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve site Capacity Model. Perform capacity analysis for various scenarios. Be able to evaluate bottlenecks and provide options to increase capacity.Â
- Develop and maintain an accurate Labor Model.
- Establish, track, and refine site goals and performance metrics; create new metrics as needed.Â
- Oversee factory loading to meet capacity and cycle‑time requirements.Â
- Maintain a variety of site computer systems with various programming requirements.
- Maintain and improve various dispatching systems. Train and guide manufacturing operators and leaders in dispatching systems.
- Gain consensus among all impacted groups prior to implementing system changes.
- Collaborate with Corporate Industrial Engineering team and Corporate Supply Chain Management Team.
- Lead cross-functional improvement teams and Kaizen events to solve complex problems and/or achieve measurable productivity gains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management; MBA or MSIE preferred.Â
- Minimum of five years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with strong knowledge of equipment and processes; ten years preferred.Â
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Â
- Strong technical capabilities, including VBA and SQL; proficiency with FabTime preferred.Â
- Broad understanding of wafer‑fab cycle time, scheduling, and dispatching.Â
- Expertise in statistical analysis and Lean methodologies; Six Sigma certification preferred.Â
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with operators, engineers and managers toward site‑wide improvement.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and successful in team‑based environments.Â
- Self‑motivated and able to drive projects to completion in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.Â
- Ability to work 10–20% of the time in a cleanroom environment.
