Job Summary

Lead and maintain day-to-day operations of the lab by ensuring that testing turnaround times or expected completion dates are met.<br>Ensure that good laboratory practices are followed and good housekeeping is adhered to and recorded appropriately.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct laboratory testing on raw materials, in process, finished goods, and stability per standard operating procedures.
  • Review test data, calculations and results for accuracy and completion.
  • Assign testing and ensure completion dates are met for sample submissions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, products, and materials as assigned by management, as well as other projects.
  • Recommend appropriate test methods based on product type and evaluation needs.
  • Facilitate and process test requests and results with independent laboratories.
  • Write, review, and/or update standard operating procedures.
  • Train new employees per standard operating procedure and document training appropriately.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certification / Licensure:

  • None

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a laboratory.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Basic skills with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, etc.)

Certification / Licensure:

  • None

Work Experience:

  • Experience in a regulated industry.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
