We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse - Endoscopy Procedure Room for a leading hospital in limerick, Ireland.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time/Part Time considered
Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred nursing care throughout endoscopic and flexible cystoscopy procedures.
Assess and manage patients appropriately before, during and after procedures, escalating any concerns to the Consultant, Anaesthetist or Senior Nursing Management.
Prepare and support patients for procedures, provide clear information, address concerns, and educate patients and their families or carers as required.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
Demonstrate effective infection prevention and control practices and maintain a safe, clean and clinically appropriate environment.
Use clinical equipment safely and effectively, report faults promptly, and respond efficiently to emergencies when required.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialised nursing care and maintain high standards of patient-focused service delivery.
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of care protocols, pathways and measurable standards of nursing care.
Assist with the management and appropriate use of clinical supplies, ensuring resources are ordered and utilised efficiently.
Maintain awareness of national and professional quality standards, including JCI, HIQA and JAG, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement within the service.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse with valid NMBI registration, or eligible for registration with NMBI.
Minimum 1 year of post-registration experience in acute care nursing.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
Previous experience in Endoscopy and/or Flexible Cystoscopy procedures is desirable.
Good clinical knowledge and ability to deliver safe, high-quality patient-centred care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong communication, organisational and clinical skills, with a commitment to maintaining professional standards and patient safety
