We are seeking a motivated Rehabilitation / Therapy Assistant to join our growing multidisciplinary practice in Myrtle Beach, SC. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of human anatomy, exercise, movement, and basic therapeutic techniques who is interested in being trained in our rehabilitation protocols.
Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including physical therapy assisting, exercise science, kinesiology, personal training, rehabilitation, chiropractic, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, balance, and functional activities
- Help guide patients through rehabilitation programs and exercises
- Assist with therapeutic modalities and treatments as trained
- Monitor patients during exercises and communicate progress to providers
- Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation
- Work alongside Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals
- Receive training in our specific rehabilitation techniques and protocols
- Familiarity with human anatomy, exercise, movement, and basic therapy principles
- Background in exercise science, kinesiology, personal training, physical therapy assisting, rehab, fitness, or a related field
- Ability and willingness to learn our rehabilitation practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working directly with patients
- PTA, Personal Trainer, Exercise Science/Kinesiology graduates, Rehab Aides, and similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Outpatient orthopedic, rehabilitation, fitness, or chiropractic experience is a plus
- Full-Time or Part-Time
