Job Title: Trailer Production - Installer

Company: Interstate Group, LLC / TrailersPlus

Pay Rate: $18.00 – $21.00 / hour DOE (maxes out 23/hour)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Occasional Friday overtime required)

Location: 605 N 39th St, Nampa, Idaho USA 

About the Role

As a Trailer Production Installer in our Skin Department, you will play a crucial role in bringing our trailers to life. You’ll be responsible for the exterior fit and finish, handling everything from installing sheet metal and wall trim to wiring trailer lighting. If you take pride in detailed craftsmanship, enjoy hands-on physical work, and want to work with a supportive team, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities (Varies by Role)

  • Assembly & Exterior Finishing: Precise installation of exterior aluminum sheets, specialized tapes, caulking, fenders, wall trim, and decal placement.

  • Electrical Work: Hook up, wire, and test trailer lighting systems to ensure full operational functionality.

  • Tool Operation: Safely operate a variety of power and hand tools, including sheet metal brakes, stomp shears, and various saws.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform self-inspections against strict quality control standards to ensure every trailer meets brand specifications.

  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain an organized work area and strictly adhere to company safety protocols.

  • Cross-Training: Learn additional production roles to support cross-functional teams when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience safely operating shop equipment (table saw, chop saw, radial arm saw, miter saw, jig saw, sawzall, drywall screw gun, stomp shear, and sheet metal brake).

  • Measurement Skills: Demonstrated ability to accurately read and use a standard tape measure.

  • Work Style: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete floors.

  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Capacity to bend, kneel, squat, stoop, and climb ladders or scaffolding throughout the shift.
