Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager will provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.  The Accounting Manager will supervise, monitor deadlines, and ensure accounting processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, demonstrated supervisory experience, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.  Supervise, support, and provide direction to accounting team members.  Delegate tasks and responsibilities based on department priorities, workload, and individual strengths.  Monitor team performance and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on schedule.  Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.  Review invoices, payments, receivables, payables, and related accounting transactions.  Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and assist with collection activities as needed.  Review vendor invoices and ensure accounts payable are processed accurately and timely.  Perform and oversee account reconciliations.  Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.  Review financial records for accuracy and completeness.  Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.  Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.  Utilize QuickBooks for accounting transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.  Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.  Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with company policies and established procedures.  Serve as a resource to accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting-related questions.  Communicate effectively with the CFO, management, and other departments regarding accounting and financial matters.  Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and business information.  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.  Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, and business  Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.  QuickBooks experience is required.  Demonstrated experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.  Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.  Experience with account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.  Strong organizational and time-management skills.  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate multiple tasks.  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.  Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and business information.  Confidentiality  Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, accounting, employee, customer, vendor, and company information accessed through the course of employment.  Handle sensitive financial records, reports, transactions, and business information with discretion and professionalism.  Protect confidential information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or use.  Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling, storage, and sharing of confidential information.  Exercise appropriate judgment when communicating or sharing sensitive information with internal and external parties.  Immediately report any suspected unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of confidential information in accordance with company procedures.  Working Conditions  Full-time, on-site position based in Naperville, Illinois.  Professional office environment with a regular Monday through Friday schedule during standard business hours.  Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs, deadlines, or accounting cycles.  Full-Time Benefits  401(k) with company matching  Roth 401(k) with company matching  Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance  Health Savings Account (HSA)  Life Insurance  Paid Sick Time  Vacation Time  Company-Paid Holidays
