Description

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at a beautiful assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida. Vertis Therapy will be beginning therapy services at this community in mid-October, making this an exciting opportunity to be part of a new therapy program from the start. This position offers competitive rates and a flexible schedule, allowing you to work a schedule that fits your availability. 


This beautiful community offers a welcoming, comfortable environment with thoughtfully designed spaces for both assisted living and memory care residents. As Vertis Therapy begins providing services at the community, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish and grow the therapy program while providing meaningful, resident-centered care. 


The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.


Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life. 

Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation. 

Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. 

Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings. 

Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events. 


Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility 

Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
