Job DetailsJob Location: KT-Nashville Area Command - Nashville, TN 37207This position is responsible for: Assists people who are interested in adopting an Angel off the Angel Tree and records info in a log book for each Angel adopted. This includes the Angel’s ID number with info on the adopting donor including that person’s name, address and telephone number. Informs the adopting donor of the deadline when the unwrapped gift items are to be returned. Answers any questions about Angel Tree and other programs of The Salvation Army, calling the supervisor or the office, if necessary, to obtain accurate info. Displays a polite and courteous manner at all times. Displays a polite and courteous manner at all times. Makes sure that gifts are properly marked with the name of the child and the Angel’s ID number. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements Ability to read, write and communicate the English language Ability to multi-task effectively, paying close attention to detail in an environment where concentration may frequently be broken by interruptions Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under limited supervision Duties are usually performed seated; however, there is a limited amount of physical effort associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU No formal education required. Previous experience working with the public is preferred.
