About California Closets
At California Closets, we believe thoughtful design can make everyday life better. We create custom closets and storage solutions that help people feel more organized, make the most of their space, and enjoy their homes.
Designing better lives takes a team from the first design conversation to the careful preparation, manufacturing, and installation behind every finished project.
As our Technical Project Coordinator, you’ll help bring those designs to life with accuracy, care, and attention to detail.
Position Summary
The Technical Project Coordinator serves as the technical link between Project Management, Engineering/Design, and the shop floor. This office-based position translates project information from ClosetCAD into production-ready programs for our CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
The Technical Project Coordinator ensures that jobs are properly programmed, documented, and prepared before entering production. This person also serves as the primary technical resource for shop personnel when questions arise regarding drilling, machining, programming, or production requirements, while design-related questions are directed to the Project Manager.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate combines CAD and CNC programming skills with a practical understanding of manufacturing. They understand how project requirements translate into actual manufacturing processes and can anticipate and resolve technical issues before they become production problems.
This position requires someone who can take a job from project information to a machine-ready and shop-ready package, ensuring that the people producing the work have the programs, paperwork, materials, and technical information they need to do the job correctly.
They enjoy detailed technical work, stay organized across multiple projects, and communicate clearly with Project Managers and production personnel. They are approachable when questions arise, receptive to feedback, and comfortable working through challenges with others.
Above all, they take pride in preparing accurate, complete work and helping the entire team succeed.
