Position Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling internally produced products throughout the manufacturing area and supporting the accurate and timely processing of production orders.

This position serves as a primary resource for questions related to internally produced orders and works collaboratively with manufacturing, originating departments, and internal customers to support production workflow and order accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate order information with originating departments, manufacturing associates, internal customers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Schedule and route custom, stock, marketing, and  internally produced orders using SAP PP/DS and other internal systems to support efficient manufacturing workflows.
  • Prepare, process, maintain, and distribute production-related documentation, including print orders, proof packets, proof approvals, change orders, schedules, and related records.
  • Prepare and distribute daily production schedules to manufacturing work centers and maintain workflow visibility throughout the production process.
  • Monitor production capacity, identify and communicate constraints, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support on-time shipment of orders.
  • Provide customer service support for internally produced orders by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating follow-up actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control to determine production quantities and support production planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and records for print orders and related production documentation.

Qualifications

Production Scheduler:
•    High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
•    Minimum of one year of experience in order processing, production scheduling, customer service, or a related field required.

Other Skills/Qualifications:
•    Working knowledge of SAP PP/DS Planning Board preferred.
•    Knowledge of print/bind manufacturing, scheduling processes, and related production workflows.
•    Proficiency using a personal computer and Microsoft 365 applications.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills.
•    Ability to learn, adapt to, and effectively use internal systems, tools, and applications required to support order processing and production scheduling.
•    Ability to prioritize work, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. This position requires regular use of personal computer equipment and may involve extended periods of sitting, viewing a computer screen, and performing keyboard-related tasks.
