EMT Paramedic - Emergency Medical Services

Job Summary: Provides emergency medical care and transportation for patients. Performs departmental duties for CarolinaEast Health System, EMS Department, and the EMS Manager.

Minimum Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Current North Carolina Paramedic credential upon hire. 
• One year experience at the EMT-Paramedic level, preferred.
• AHA BCLS certification required, upon hire. 
• ACLS, PALS and PHTLS certifications required within one year of hire date. 
• Have and maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of North Carolina. 
• Demonstrated ability to drive an ambulance safely and efficiently. 
• Successful completion of EVOC/EVD training and certification within one year of hire.  
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care at the Paramedic level. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status. Must be able to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed, as described in the unit’/area’s/department’s policies and procedures.
