The Delivery Driver/Assembly Technician is responsible for completing drop-offs and pickups of parts from various suppliers of Pratt Miller. This person will also split their time assembling and installing vehicle components and subassemblies, ensuring they meet high-quality and safety standards. Assembly varies depending on the type of vehicle being assembled (prototype vs production). Ideal candidates will have experience driving, as well as in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.Â

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Complete pickup and deliveries of Pratt Miller components to suppliers
- Assemble vehicle components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work orders, and process instructionsÂ
- Ensure that each vehicle meets Pratt Miller’s quality standardsÂ
- Perform detailed inspections to verify the accuracy and functionality of each assemblyÂ
- Work with a close-knit team of engineers, designers, fabricators, and mechanics to meet departmental goals and deadlines efficientlyÂ
- Maintain detailed documentation of progress, ensuring work is clearly tracked and any issues are promptly addressedÂ
- Maintain a clean and organized work environmentÂ
- Ensure work environment and processes adhere to outlined safety regulations Â
- Use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredÂ
REQUIRED SKILLSÂ & QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in delivery driving and/or shipping & receiving preferred
- Basic computer skills for data entry and shipment tracking
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and process instructionsÂ
- Strong mechanical aptitudeÂ
- Proficiency with common hand tools and equipmentÂ
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamÂ
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing world-class productsÂ
- Dependable & punctual, with reliable mode of transportationÂ
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentÂ
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods Â
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends if necessary to meet deadlines.Â
- Work hours: Day Shift, 8 AM start, Mon-Fri, 40hr work week (overtime as required)Â
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:Â
- High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredÂ
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
DESIRED SKILLSÂ &Â KNOWLEDGE:Â Â
- Previous experience in delivery driving and/or shipping & receiving preferred
- Prior experience in low volume, prototype level vehicle assembly or related manufacturing environmentsÂ
- Prior vehicle repair, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience Â
- Basic metalworking/fabrication skillsÂ
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Â
- Knowledge of vehicle-related pneumatic and/or cooling systemsÂ
- Knowledge of HV electrical vehicle systemsÂ
- Prior experience in an ISOÂ 9001Â quality environmentÂ
