Program Description:Ā
The Sophomore Career Exploration Internship gives undergraduate sophomores the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at a unique institution. Through dynamic, project-based work assignments and professional development activities, students get:Ā

The primary purpose of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Audit Group (Internal Audit) is toĀ assistĀ the Board of Directors in the effective execution of its responsibilities for the Bank and the Federal Reserve System.Ā Ā Internal AuditĀ accomplishesĀ its purpose by providing independent, risk-based assurance and insight that strengthens the Federal Reserve Systemās ability to fulfill its mission andĀ maintainĀ public trust.Ā

HowĀ YouāllĀ Make an Impact as an Audit Intern (Sophomore)Ā
The role will include all aspects of internal auditing, including planning, controls testing,Ā attendingĀ and minuting audit meetings with clients, and reportingĀ
Where applicable, work with Internal Auditās Data Analytics team to analyze and present audit informationĀ Ā
Support special projects by conducting research and organizing informationĀ
ParticipateĀ in team events with the departmentĀ

The Unique Skill SetsĀ WeāreĀ Looking For:Ā
The summer analyst opportunity in the Audit Group is open to candidates who have completed at least theirĀ freshmanĀ year of college by the beginning of the internshipĀ
You must have a demonstrated interest in banking, business, economics, public policy, risk management or finance with a strong academic record and passion for public serviceĀ
Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsĀ
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AcrobatĀ
Ability to execute audit procedures and testing for control complianceĀ
Good analytical skills, including ability to analyze business and financial activities, understand and describe process flows,Ā strengthsĀ and weaknesses, and develop suggestions to improve efficiency and effectivenessĀ
AbilityĀ to work independently as well as in a team environmentĀ

SalaryĀ Range:Ā Your regular wages for the 10 weeks will be paid on a semi-monthly basis and will be calculated based on an annual salary ofĀ $65,600Ā

This position requires access to confidential supervisory information (CSI) and/or Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) information.
