Job Description:

About the Team:
Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Director of Creative Production to build and lead the in-house Creative Production function across the enterprise. Reporting into the Senior Director, Process Transformation & Automation, this role is responsible for enabling creative execution—not marketing operations or creative direction.

About the Role:

The role ensures creative teams have the people, workflows, partners, and production processes needed to deliver high-quality work efficiently across all Dow Jones brands and business units.

This leader partners closely with Brand Creative, Brand Marketing, Marketing Operations, Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to optimize the creative production lifecycle, scale execution, and reduce dependency on external agencies while maintaining high creative standards.

You Will:

Creative Production Leadership

  • Build and scale the enterprise Creative Production function supporting all Dow Jones brands.

  • Establish production standards, operating models, and scalable ways of working that improve speed, consistency, and quality.

  • Continuously improve how creative work moves from brief through final delivery.

Creative Planning & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Brand Creative and Business leaders to convert strategic objectives into actionable production roadmaps.

  • Advise stakeholders on production bandwidth, delivery schedules, and essential trade-offs to ensure visibility, manage expectations, and identify operational risks.

Creative Resource Management

  • Manage allocation of designers, writers, editors, motion designers, freelancers, and production specialists based on skills and capacity.

  • Forecast creative production capacity against demand.

  • Balance workloads across internal and external resources.

Creative Intake & Production Workflow

  • Own intake, production milestones, approvals, and handoffs from creative brief through asset delivery.

  • Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.

  • Standardize workflows across brands while allowing flexibility where appropriate.

Creative Production Enablement

  • Build systems and processes that help creative teams deliver more work, faster, without sacrificing quality.

  • Improve production efficiency across the enterprise.

  • Ensure teams have the tools, documentation, and operational support required for execution

  • Support enablement and adoption of AI tools and processes to help improve creative production efficiencies

Creative Production Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with production vendors, agencies, studios, and freelancers including designers, photographers, editors, illustrators, and other creative partners.

  • Oversee creative production budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and invoicing.

  • Evaluate partners based on quality, capability, capacity, and cost.

Creative Delivery Standards

  • Define production standards for file management, asset packaging, documentation, and handoffs.

  • Promote consistency and quality across all creative deliverables.

You Have:

  • 12+ years leading creative production, creative operations, integrated production, or in-house studio operations.

  • Experience building and scaling creative production organizations.

  • Deep experience managing creative resourcing, production workflows, vendors, budgets, and operational excellence.
