Responsibilities
- Work with teams across Meta to investigate cases chosen by the Oversight Board and identify potential cases to refer to the Board
- Understand and articulate how Meta's values and policies apply to these cases, verbally and in writing
- Manage day-to-day case operations, including tracking case milestones and deadlines
- Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams such as Public Policy, Governance, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Communications, Marketing, Partnerships, and Legal
- Provide feedback to operational, policy, and other Meta teams to implement recommendations from the Oversight Board
- This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content including but not limited to graphic images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Law
- 5+ years of experience in law, government, or public policy
- Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to draft persuasive written materials
- Ability to work with potentially graphic and objectionable content
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Experience in or with the technology industry, including social media content issues
- Experience investigating and working on complex legal cases or policy issues
- Experience working with civil rights or human rights topics, including freedom of expression
- Experience working with and presenting to professionally diverse teams and audiences
$153,000/year to $224,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
