Staff Accountant – Freight Forwarding Industry

We’re looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join the accounting team of a dynamic company in the freight forwarding industry. This is a hands-on accounting role for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing across a variety of accounting functions.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

·  Performing bank and General Ledger reconciliations and researching discrepancies.

·  Assisting with month-end closing activities and maintaining accurate financial records.

·  Preparing cash projections and monitoring daily cash activity.

·  Reviewing and processing accounting transactions, including invoices and payments.

·  Tracking and reporting daily sales transactions to ensure accuracy.

·  Assisting with internal and external audits and providing supporting documentation.

·  Supporting financial reporting and other general accounting activities.

·  Working closely with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

·  Assisting with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

·  A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

·  3+ years of accounting experience.

·  Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

·  Experience with General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

·  Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system and strong Excel skills.

·  Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach.

·  Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience is preferred.

·  Experience with inventory or cost accounting is a plus.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
