Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Console in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a residential location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence for residents and visitors while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communication. Use your customer service skills to help deter incidents, respond to routine concerns, and maintain a professional front desk environment. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access to the residential location, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Answer phones, direct residents and guests, receive deliveries, and provide general front desk assistance in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other assigned systems; document security-related incidents and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
