Technical Professional Leader - Civil

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Civil Structural Engineer to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company. Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies. Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area.

Role will be a hybrid work schedule with office work in Newark, Delaware as required as well remote work options.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work as part of a team to prepare construction quality documentation for civil engineering design projects.
  • Function as a civil project lead.
  • Provide design documents for facility site planning and development
  • Prepare erosion and sediment control design and specifications
     

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years. 
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Experience with roadway design
  • Experience in stormwater management
  • Experience in railroad design a plus
  • MicroStation
  • AutoCAD
