Plumbing Foreman

About the Role:

The Plumbing Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing new home construction plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. This position requires managing a team of plumbers and apprentices, coordinating daily tasks, and serving as the primary point of contact between field workers and the management. The foreman is responsible for interpreting blueprints, planning material needs, and troubleshooting on-site issues to maintain workflow efficiency. By fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment, the Plumbing Foreman ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid plumbing license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, tools, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman or technical training in plumbing or construction management.
• Experience with residential plumbing projects.
• Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
• Proficiency with project management software and digital reporting tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team training and development.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of plumbing crews to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations and repairs accurately.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to team members to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies on job sites.
• Planning materials and equipment needed for projects to avoid delays.
• Conduct regular inspections of work performed to guarantee quality and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate with managers, subcontractors, and builders to communicate progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Prepare daily reports on work completed, labor hours, and any incidents or challenges encountered.
• Implement problem-solving strategies to address unexpected complications or changes in project scope.
