Safety Officer

Skilled Trades Partners is currently seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional for a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity in Newington, CT.

Position Details

• Location: Newington, CT
• Pay: $40–$50/hour, depending on experience
• Employment Type: Long-term Temp-to-Hire
• Experience Required: 5+ years of construction safety experience
• Certification Required: OSHA 30

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and promote safe work practices on the construction site
• Ensure onsite compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Communicate safety requirements and procedures to field personnel
• Help maintain a safe, compliant, and productive jobsite
• Address safety concerns and assist with corrective actions as needed
• Support the project team in maintaining all required safety standards and documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience required
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• Ability to identify hazards and proactively address safety concerns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, tradespeople, supervisors, and project management
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
