Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Mall Patrol Driver - Bicycle in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a retail center location, you will conduct highly visible foot, bike, and vehicle patrols to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors at a retail center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
