About the role
As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, assembled, sterilized, and available to support safe, efficient patient care.
This position does not include direct patient care. Shift rotation is required.
What you'll do
• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment • Process specialty and general instrument sets accurately and efficiently
• Assemble surgical trays and equipment according to established tray listings • Monitor sterilization processes and maintain required documentation • Maintain inventory and stock levels within the Central Sterile Department • Inspect instruments for functionality and identify repair needs • Support case cart assembly and preparation for surgical procedures • Collaborate with perioperative and clinical teams to ensure timely instrument availability

Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection prevention practices
• Ability to inspect, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot instruments and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification through HSPA
• Previous Sterile Processing experience
• Experience working in a healthcare, surgical, or central sterile environment
