Together, Epic Sports Biomechanics, LLC and ATS advance a shared mission to create a safe and reliable world through precise technical and professional services.   Job Title: Performance Specialist, Program Development Location: Newtown, PA   We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and client-focused Performance Specialist, Program Development to join our growing team at Epic Sports Biomechanics. In this role, you will combine your expertise in sports performance, exercise science, and athlete development with Epic's advanced biomechanical technologies to evaluate athletes, develop individualized training programs, and deliver data-driven performance solutions. The Performance Specialist will conduct physical and biomechanical assessments, create and oversee Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and work directly with athletes ranging from youth and high school competitors to collegiate and adult athletes. This role requires a passion for athlete development, injury mitigation, and performance enhancement, as well as the ability to communicate complex biomechanical concepts in an actionable way.   Responsibilities Assist with the collection, processing, and analysis of biomechanical evaluation data. Conduct physical assessments and screening protocols, including movement, mobility, strength, power, and injury-specific evaluations. Collaborate with Epic staff to interpret biomechanical and motion capture results. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized athlete development programs designed to improve performance and reduce injury risk. Execute and oversee athlete training programs both in-person and remotely. Utilize technologies such as motion capture systems, IMUs, pressure mapping systems, high-speed video, and ball-flight tracking technologies to support athlete evaluations. Translate technical data into clear, actionable recommendations for athletes, coaches, trainers, and families. Monitor athlete progress and modify development plans based on objective performance data and outcomes. Maintain facility equipment and assist with operational readiness of technology platforms. Schedule, coordinate, and organize athlete evaluations and training sessions. Support client communication, retention, and overall customer experience. Participate in business development activities, including client recruitment, community outreach, partnerships, and team engagement opportunities. Assist with content creation and marketing initiatives that promote Epic's services and expertise. Stay informed on emerging technologies, research, and best practices in biomechanics, sports performance, and injury prevention. Participate in off-site assessments, team evaluations, and other business development engagements as needed. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, or a related field. 2+ years of experience working with athletes across multiple sports and competitive levels. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing progressive athlete development or intervention programs. Strong understanding of movement assessment, athletic performance enhancement, and injury mitigation strategies. Experience utilizing physical screening and assessment tools to identify movement inefficiencies and performance limitations. Ability to analyze biomechanical and performance data and communicate findings effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage athletes, parents, coaches, and stakeholders. Ability to maintain a positive, high-energy training environment and motivate athletes toward their goals. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and athlete programs simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CSCS, CES, ATC, CPT, or similar strength and conditioning, athletic training, or exercise science credentials. Experience working with youth, high school, collegiate, semi-professional, and professional athletes. Exposure to or experience with biomechanical analysis, kinematic assessment, and motion capture technologies. Experience utilizing technologies such as optical motion capture systems, IMUs, pressure mapping systems, high-speed video cameras, HitTrax, Rapsodo, Trackman, or similar tools. Familiarity with data analysis software and tools such as MATLAB, Python, Excel, and video analysis platforms. Previous playing or coaching experience in one or more sports. Strong interest in sports science research and applying objective data to athlete development. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of biomechanics knowledge. Passion for long-term athlete development and evidence-based performance training. Physical Requirements Ability to perform and demonstrate athletic activities and exercises. Ability to catch and throw medicine balls weighing 4-10 pounds. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to demonstrate warm-up, cool-down, strength, conditioning, corrective exercise, and movement-based activities. Ability to climb ladders as required.
