Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy II Technician at Norfolk General Hospital!
Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates!
Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: 8.5 hour Rotating Shifts
Hours: Shifts vary between 6am-11pm M-F
Weekend: Every other weekend rotation
Required qualifications:
Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED
1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED
Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED
Preferred qualifications:
CSPT Preferred
Job responsibilities:
Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist
Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy
Performs all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II positions.
