 SAIC is seeking skilled electricians and electronics technicians to join our team to support diverse projects across various platforms and environments. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing critical electrical and electronic systems, ensuring mission success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and modify a variety of electrical and electronic systems, including but not limited to:

  • Power distribution, lighting systems, and electronic control systems.
  • Transmitting and receiving equipment such as radar, radios, telecommunications, sonar, and navigational aids.
  • Computing devices ranging from personal systems to mainframe environments.
  • Industrial, medical, measuring, and robotic devices.
    Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including reading and interpreting complex electrical and electronic schematics. Determine equipment malfunctions and utilize troubleshooting skills to restore operations. Evaluate the performance and reliability of prototype or production equipment; provide recommendations to improve circuitry, assembly, or maintenance procedures.

Perform tasks such as:

  • Replacing components, wiring circuits, and repairing electronics using standard testing equipment (e.g., digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, curve tracers).
  • Installing electronic controls, wireways, conduits, cable trays, and connectors.
     

This position emphasizes adaptability to handle a wide range of tasks—ranging from electrical maintenance to electronic system troubleshooting—across various environments and conditions.

 



Required Education & Experience:
 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal training in electrical or electronic systems through:
    -Military "Class A" or "Class B" school in electronics or communications.-or-
    Technical School

Required Security Clearance:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a variety of challenging conditions, which may include extreme heights, small or confined spaces, and diverse weather environments.
  • Capability to meet physical demands such as kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing as part of the job.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
