PAY: Starting at $18.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
SHIFT AVAILABLE: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

About the General Facilities Maintenance Role:

SMS Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable General Facilities Maintenance professional to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment, machinery, and building structures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will have maintenance and troubleshooting experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs
• Maintain facility structures, pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Perform welding and metal cutting as needed
• Inspect and test machinery for malfunctions
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write English
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Must have your own basic tools and toolbox

Special Circumstances:

• This is a safety-sensitive position
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
• May stop unsafe activities and recommend solutions
• Multiple levels may be available based on experience
