Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate II is an intermediate level clerical position that provides accounting support for the company. The tasks at this level range from routine to moderate in difficulty requiring some analysis and limited judgment. The Accounting Associate II operates with a general degree of supervision and instruction.
Typical Functions:
Manages a high volume of simple to moderately complex processes including, but not limited to, company billing, accounts payable, payroll, and/or collections
Provides general project accounting support beginning with project initiation through project close-out
Provides general administrative support, including phone support and filing
Ensures the integrity and accuracy of data (time entry, employee expense reimbursements, billings, etc.)
Assists in the development of entry level accounting staff.
Requirements:
Associates Degree or higher in accounting or related field
Minimum two years office experience, preferably in an accounting department
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or QuickBooks
Workday experience a plus
Detail-oriented nature
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical skills
Strong customer service orientation
Sensitivity to confidentiality

WJE offers a robust, total compensation structure, where the hourly rate is just one component of an employee’s annual earnings. Additionally, employees may be eligible to receive overtime and variable compensation based on personal and company performance, often resulting in above-market annual earnings. Actualhourly rate will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the rolewhile remaining mindful of our commitment to internal equity. A good faith estimate of the starting hourly rate (gross) for this position is in the following range: Â
