About the Role:
Superior Cleaning Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated and experienced Custodian Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in Chicago, IL and surrounding suburbs. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of facility cleanliness operations while building and mentoring a dedicated crew. Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and schedule custodial staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Inspect facilities to verify cleaning standards and quality control are consistently met
- Assign cleaning tasks and manage workloads across multiple areas or sites
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and janitorial products
- Enforce proper use of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols (OSHA compliance)
- Address and resolve facility maintenance or cleanliness issues in a timely manner
- Communicate with clients and management regarding service expectations and feedback
Requirements:
- 2+ years of custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience required
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to lead a team with professionalism
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
