Position Summary
The Freezer Lead plays a key role in coordinating daily workflow, training, and troubleshooting within a multi-temperature warehouse environment — including freezer areas at or below 0°F. This position ensures productivity goals are met, fosters a positive and respectful team environment, and supports operational excellence through hands-on leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate daily workflow, training, and problem-solving for associates in a cold storage/freezer environment.

Monitor productivity using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other reports to ensure goals, deadlines, and accuracy standards are met.

Provide timely, constructive feedback to associates individually and in group settings.

Lead start-up meetings and communicate departmental updates.

Assist in updating processes, training materials, and documentation.

Promote employee retention by fostering a respectful, motivated, and solution-focused workplace.

Perform manual labor and work on the production floor during non-peak periods as needed.

Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements.

Perform additional duties and support other departments as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or similar environment.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Basic math skills and ability to read and follow labels, processes, and instructions.

Experience with WMS and SAP preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a cold storage environment (-10°F to 40°F).

Lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Walk and stand for 8–10 hours per shift.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb as needed.

Basic math skills for inventory, tracking, and productivity reporting.

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); SAP experience preferred.

Ability to lift 30 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Willingness to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods during an 8–10 hour shift.
