What You'll Do
As our Lead Maintenance Technician, you're the backbone of the property. You'll own the full scope of maintenance operations, lead a crew, and bring a service-first mindset to every interaction.
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise maintenance staff, porters, and grounds crew
- Handle resident service requests promptly and with a smile -- Superior Service is our standard
- Perform and oversee repairs: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pools, and more
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to stay ahead of problems
- Conduct 90-day unit inspections to maintain property excellence
- Manage tool and parts inventory to keep operations running smoothly
- Oversee outside contractors and ensure quality workmanship
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and landscaping in top condition
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Be available for on-call emergency response (rotating schedule)
What You Bring to the Table
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing, and appliances
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of pool maintenance and lawn care equipment
- Familiarity with city codes, licensing requirements, and safety regulations
Leadership & People Skills:
- Experience supervising or leading a maintenance team
- Outstanding customer service -- you treat every resident interaction as an opportunity to impress
- Professional appearance and attitude, always
- Strong communication skills with residents, staff, vendors, and management
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize effectively
Other Requirements:
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to perform physical tasks: lifting, climbing, bending, stooping
- Available for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis
