Position Summary

Fusion is seeking an experienced Electrician to support electrical maintenance operations for commercial and industrial electrical systems within mission-critical environments near Omaha, NE.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience, working knowledge of generators and backup power systems, and experience leading maintenance activities or small teams.

 

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • Active Top Secret clearance w/ SCI Eligibility preferred

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in mission critical environments
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain generators and backup power systems
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are properly maintained and secured
  • Follow all site safety regulations and PPE standards
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

 

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • Current Nebraska Journeyman Electrician License or a reciprocal-state license eligible for conversion to a Nebraska license is required
  • Experience supporting commercial and light industrial electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of generators and backup power systems required
  • Must be mechanically inclined and capable of performing physically demanding work activities
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds, carry equipment and materials up to 15 feet, and perform physical maintenance activities
  • Must be willing to support 24/7 emergency call response requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Working knowledge of and experience applying Nebraska and applicable local electrical codes, as well as National Electric Codes (NEC), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Codes and Standards at a minimum NFPA 70, NFPA 110, NFPA 99, and NFPA 101

 

Additional Information

This position supports a 24/7 mission-critical operation and is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA). Employees may be assigned day, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts as needed to meet operational requirements and support emergency response activities.
