Job DetailsJob Location: Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Headquarters - OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73179Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Road WarriorJob Shift: DayJob Summary This role provides food delivery, supply pickup and kitchen logistics for Hope’s Kitchen at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. In this role, you will help meals and supplies reach program sites, so children and families receive safe, reliable food. You will deliver food and supplies, retrieve kitchen equipment and track returned items so routes and resources stay organized. You will follow food safety practices, monitor refrigeration units and report concerns so food quality and safety are protected. You will communicate with sites, document questions or complaints and coordinate vehicle maintenance so delivery needs are handled clearly. You can expect a mix of driving, communication, route coordination, recordkeeping, equipment checks and problem-solving. Success in the position comes from steady service, accurate records, safe practices and respectful communication with every site. A Day in the Life The essential functions described below represent the primary responsibilities of this role and may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Delivery and Supply Management: Deliver food and supplies to scheduled sites and pickup locations so meals arrive where they are needed. Retrieve equipment, containers and utensils from each site the previous day for return to the kitchen. Track returned items carefully so kitchen resources remain available and unnecessary replacement costs are avoided. Upload daily information to the Kitchen Manager so records stay current and concerns can be addressed quickly. Report delivery or pickup issues so needed corrections can protect meal quality and delivery timing. Food Safety Compliance: Follow food safety guidelines so distributed food remains safe, consistent and ready for use. Monitor delivery vehicle refrigeration units daily to confirm food stays within safe temperature ranges. Use safe food handling and storage practices to reduce risk and protect food quality during transport. Report problems or deviations promptly so the Regional Food Bank can take corrective action. Communication and Documentation: Communicate with sites about deliveries, complaints, problems and questions so service issues are documented clearly. Document site concerns so recurring needs and service gaps can be reviewed and addressed. Report site concerns through established protocols so the right team can respond within its role. Keep regular communication with meal production and program management teams so delivery work stays coordinated. Share questions and field feedback in clear records so practical service improvements can be considered. Equipment and Logistics: Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks so equipment concerns are identified before route or kitchen work begins Move materials and stage inventory so food and supplies are ready for timely distribution Clean and maintain equipment and vehicles used in operations to reduce downtime and protect safe use Schedule regular vehicle service and repairs so vehicles remain ready for assigned delivery needs Coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up so maintenance work creates as little delivery disruption as possible Report vehicle issues and address assigned follow-up, so concerns are escalated or completed within role authority Other Duties as Assigned Duties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time at the discretion of your supervisor, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Employ strategies and techniques to make the most of time and resources. Required Qualifications How you have spent your time: Obtaining a high school diploma or GED. Other Qualifications: Ability to get applicable clearances from ODOT. Ability to get AIB and ServSafe Certifications. Clearance of background investigation and drug screen. Pass physical examination. Valid Class D Driver License Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Preferred Qualifications How you have spent your time: Working in a delivery driving role and/or working in a high-volume production kitchen. Physical Demands The company will provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities. Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including: finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work involves climbing at heights at or above six feet. Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even or uneven surfaces, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees. Auditory attention and hearing sensitivity is required, as candidates must possess the ability to distinguish various sounds that serve as key maintenance indicators. Must employ the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies. Work Environment Full exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. Includes exposure to extreme summer and winter temperatures, as well as rain, sleet and snow. Full exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise and/or vibrations. Work generally performed in an industrial environment (indoor or outdoor) with various hazards and noise exposure. Travel may be required for assignments, meetings and training. The job also requires availability for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Overtime, weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.
