Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Process Improvement Specialist to our Quality Department! The Process Improvement Specialist will facilitate process improvement initiatives to streamline process flow through the organization. Areas of focus for performance improvement initiatives will be in healthcare, maintenance, accounting, human resources, IT and other day to day operational activities. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Facilitate process improvement initiatives through the use of disciplined, multitier process improvement methods. Create process and procedure documentation with acceptable levels of detail to benefit the business. Identify, quantify and prioritize improvement projects to eliminate waste, improve processes and improve flow of product and services. Educate, train and mentor members of the organization in process improvement philosophy and techniques. Educate members, of all levels, on various change management techniques and philosophies. Facilitate work sessions to identify business problems, develop root cause analyses and suggest areas of performance improvement. Mentor and train members on root cause analysis tools and philosophies. Collect and analyze data from disparate sources including: data created through forms or surveys, data obtained through existing systems and data in reports or other areas. Ensure key performance indicators are defined, implemented and monitored by the individual operational areas for ongoing sustainability of improvements. Evaluate and monitor results to make data driven decisions and make recommendations to leadership. Present data findings and recommendations to Leadership. Develop cross functional processes maps, value stream maps, work flow charts, FMEA’s, Cause and Effect, RACI’s and other useful artifacts to document process flow and responsibilities. Conduct interviews and observe work of front line employees to confirm current and desired state exist.. Prepare project charters and lead team-based problem solving efforts using standard methodologies to deliver significant, quantifiable and sustainable performance improvements. Act as a change agent to instill a process/performance improvement culture. Give guidance and advice to other Lean or Six Sigma trained members in the company. Qualifications Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification required; Green Belt certification preferred. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years related experience in performance improvement and/or process improvement preferred. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associates degree and 6+ years in performance improvement and/or process improvement would be considered Must understand best practices regarding performance improvement and have high level working knowledge of business, strategy and all Lean/ Six Sigma tools Demonstrated experience utilizing proven performance improvement and process improvement techniques Ability to work with leadership, at all levels of the organization Ability to create cross functional teams and drive process performance initiatives from identification of opportunity through implementation Ability to lead and influence without having authority Proven experience in managing multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and process improvement efforts simultaneously Ability to synthesize data and information into meaningful intelligent reports to foster a deep understanding of data and analytics Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated facilitation skills Strong knowledge and skill in MS Office products and Google suite Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to make decisions with little to no guidance
