Job Summary
We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Prime MedLab. In this role, you will collect blood, tissue, and fluid samples from patients. This is a role that can make a significant impact on people’s lives, helping them identify underlying conditions and stay healthy. This is a traveling position to other facilities.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency
  • Collect patients’ personal information
  • Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient
  • Reassure patients during the collection process
  • Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood
  • Correctly label samples and send them for testing
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician
  • Phlebotomy diploma preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices in patient identification methods
  • Familiarity with the legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Current unrestricted drivers license
