Overview
We are seeking a full-time Aviation Services Representative 1 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing basic technical customer support for Garmin's Aviation Services products, answering phone calls, emails, chat and web posts in a timely manner. This role also escalates issues for resolution, documentation, and follow-up when necessary.
Essential Functions
- Resolve basic customer inquiries and requests regarding Garmin products and services via phone calls, email inquiries, chats, and social media/web formats
- Work with customers to determine which aviation service(s) will work best for their individual needs and assist with the purchasing process of subscriptions including taking payment information, investigating auto-renewal issues and refunds
- Display strong customer service skills to ensure a positive customer experience that fosters confidence in the company and reflects the quality of the support services provided
- Develop working knowledge of application support for Air Services products including Garmin Pilot, Garmin Aviation Database Manager, and FltPlan Go
- Develop working knowledge and location of resources, systems and databases
- Receive and escalate field-related issues to drive product improvements and facilitate timely resolution of emerging concerns
- Monitor alarms for all clients and servers to ensure website(s) and applications are performing as desired; assist other associates with this responsibility
- Consult frequently asked question topics for commonly encountered questions
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated interest for the product segment and interest in developing product knowledge
- Demonstrated customer service knowledge
- Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Excellent time management and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated reliable and predictable attendance
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to navigate multiple screens
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and/or French languages in addition to English
- Pilot Rating
