As a vital member of the care team, you will assist patients, coordinate medical services, and help maintain clinic workflow. Key Responsibilities: Room patients, take vitals, and document in EHR Perform lab specimen collection and administer medications or immunizations per protocols Assist with prescription refills, referrals, and patient follow-up Support clinicians in care plan development and order entry (as directed) Sterilize equipment, maintain exam room readiness, and uphold infection control standards Participate in continuous quality improvement and team meetings Flexibility to float between clinic sites if needed Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Completion of Medical Assistant training program Active Medical Assistant Certification & CPR certification Excellent communication and time management skills Familiarity with outpatient clinical workflows preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, and move quickly Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and airborne diseases may occur Why Ampla Health? QualificationsPROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 1) High School Diploma or GED required 2) Completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program 3) Medical Assistant Certification required 4) Current CPR certification required 5) Effective communication skills. Adept at dealing with people in person or in telephone contacts 6) Neatness and accuracy in performing tasks 7) Ability to use discretion in situations dealing with confidential patient health information 8) Effective time management skills 9) Familiarity with primary care outpatient clinic procedure (desirable) 10) Demonstrate clear knowledge of Ampla Health’s clinic structure, standards, procedures and protocols COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS: 1) Must have neat and legible handwriting 2) Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly 3) Ability to communicate well with the public
